so you would have Halliday and a so so Hamels...then what? Moyer? Blanton?

2 man rotation?

What do u have if u dont trade for Halladay? Happ and Hammels and then what?

I expect Hammels to step his game up come playoffs. Hammels, Halladay, Blanton, and Moyer and with that lineup will be fine in the NL...Im more worried about their bullpen

And u can win with just 2 really good pitchers.

Halladay to Phils would be bigger than CC to Brewers...

Undefeated with less than a 2 ERA....

I'd trade Happ, for sure. Happ, Drabek, and a few other good prospects... I don't know about that.

Something will happen.

Halladay is way too big a prize for no one to pony up. And the Blue Jays know they'll have to trade him eventually, that's inevitable at this point.

I said that they should definitely open to trading him

My first post was in response to people that think he shouln't be considered to be traded.

I also said using minor league numbers to judge anything is pointless. Trust me.

And this is bullshite. Stats like wins and ERA are pointless. But SO rates, BB rates, ground ball rates, and opp BA are major tools to grading prospects.

If Hamels can pitch well again..They will be good enough..They dont have to be as dominate as Johnson and Schilling with the lineup the Phillies have.

no kidding...this plus Moyer not doing anything in the playoffs

his ability to see the future is astounding.

so could the Angels

I don't know enough about the Phillies' system to really make a call on this deal. It seems like a lot, but maybe they have 2 or 3 other pitching prospects that are in the same ballpark as Happ and Drabek?

I could see Dodgers/Angels throwing more players and cash into pot for Halladay.

If the Dodgers were willing to part with Clayton Kershaw it would be a done deal but the kid looks legit.

yes

and the fact that this is a 1.5 year rental and not a .5 year rental, if its a rental at all

the jays will get more for him this year than next

why all the hate man, seriously? im going off of just results from this year

moyer has like one good game every 5. he throws junk. that is not going to get good teams like the dodgers out

this isnt meant as a slight to you, just using you as an example. id take you over moyer in a playoff rotation

You don't trade a 21 year old future Cy Young winner.
