I would go further to say Super Bowl 20 (Chicago v. New England) may have been even worse than the 49ers v. Broncos. It was somewhat of an upset for NE to even be in the game. They finished 3rd in the AFC East before getting hot in the playoffs. Da Bears completely outmatched them and the game was never all that close. It was 23-3 Chicago at the half and you knew NE couldn't make any sort of a comeback vs. the Bears defense. The final score was 46-10 and probably could have been worse.
From the 1979 season through the 1994 season the Super Bowl was a blowout more often than not. The fact that since 2001 most of the games have been compelling makes it seem like last night's game was the "worst ever" when, in reality, the Super Bowl game itself most sucked for about a 15 year period.

The game sucked. I watched less of it than any Super Bowl. Heard two Philly TD's and two Mahomes INT's while in the shower. Didn't watch halftime because I quit watching the game in the first half.
Watched some of the oldest episodes of the Maverick TV series with both Jack Kelly & James Garner instead.

You must be younger. This reminded me of SF kicking the dogshit out of Denver or San Diego or whoever, 3/4 buffalo super bowls. Hell for most of the 80s and 90s it was kinda rare to have a decent Super Bowl
