Hagler beat Leonard.

Doesn't matter how many times you have watched it...you are wrong.

"No give me the bottle I mixed!- Drink"

Late in the fight between rounds when Pryor was on the wrong end, Pryor's trainer Panama Lewis, gave him a black bottle and told him to drink. It was water & cocaine.

Pryor then walked through a few right hands & went off

Duran was 1-4

Should be noted that Duran dominated the lightweight division for a decade before these super fights that he moved up in weight for. He is widely considered the best lightweight of all time for his reign there... even greater than Floyd who was also untouchable at lightweight.

Duran fought Leonard twice at Welterweight, going 1-1 in those matchups.

The remaining mega fights were all at middleweight. Duran was 0-3 I'm those big fights at that weight.

Pryor was a little beast. It's a shame he never got to fight Leonard.

Duran, as he was considered by many to be the grreatest lightweight of all time

At 135, I'd take Duran against anyone.

I got winded just watching that. Talk about guns a ablazing.
The conditioning level of elite fighters is mind blowing. Most impressive thing to me about MMA

When you think he started boxing pro in 68 and weighing 119 fought until 2000 and going in at 174 for one fight is a testament to his prowess as a fighter.

I can't think of a lot of fighters that ranged that much in their careers by spanning so many weight classes.

At 135 he was a beast and the majority of his losses accumulated late in his career came at 155 and above.

You don't know who won the Hagler/Hearns fight? You can find the whole fight on youtube. Check it out.

Hagler and Hearns only fought once.
Hagler and Duran only fought once.
Hagler and Leonard only fought once.

Leonard and Duran fought 3 times.
Leonard and Hearns fought twice

Duran and Hearns only fought once.

Amongst the big four fighting each other:
Hagler was 2-1
Duran was 1-4
Hearns was 2-1-1
Leonard was 4-1-1

Great quartet but Marquez/Barrera/Pacquiao/Morales was much better only thing is Morales and Marquez never fought

and dont get me started on the current flyweight quartet

Great stuff here! Brings back memories of dad/grandfather going to the CajunDome to watch the fight and then telling me about it!

Yes, I mentioned this in my OP. Duran is arguably the best p4p of the bunch, despite his 1-4 record against them.

Hearns was badly hurt before that round even started. He was on rubbery legs for the entirety.

I've read that it was Orange Juice, Cocaine, Honey and crushed up antihistamine pills. A few of his fighters said he crushed up antihistamine pills for increased lung capacity in later rounds.

Not only did the camera catch him say "Give me the bottle I mixed- Drink" they caught him a few rounds earlier breaking an ammonia capsule under Pryor's nose.

The only reason he got a way with it was the same day as the Duk Koo Kim/Boom Boom Mancini fight.
