Pretty sure TCU will stay in front of GT in the BCS polls. They still face a top 15'ish Utah to help the computer numbers.

TCU also beat Clemson, guessing my more points than GA Tech did
TCU 14 - Clemson 10
GT 30 - Clemson 27
So yeah, TCU beat them by a whole additional point

So you're saying if my scenario works out, and Florida, TCU, and Boise are the only undefeated teams left that it will be Florida vs TCU for the national title?

GT has a chance but a very remote chance. I think Cincy stays ahead of them if they stay undefeated and maybe TCU. Plus oviously Texas or one of the SEC teams needs to really collapse.

I was thinking about this as they showed the BCS rankings at halftime of the Saints game. I think it would be fricking awesome if Tech made it, but SOOOOOO much would have to happen for that to take place, and it's very unlikely that all of the necessary things would happen.
But yeah, I want the Jackets to make some noise. A BCS bowl berth would qualify, in my book. A National Championship game would be the best thing since they got screwed out of a unanimous championship back in 1990.
Fortunately, Tech fans are intelligent enough not to hold an irrational grudge against Colorado...

Georgia Tech would get clobered by Texas. So hopefully Texas doesn't lose.

Actually, looking at this whole scenario, it's shaping up as if GT could get in there. Wow.

Florida vs. LSU national championship game
Texas loses to A&M and Big XII Championship
Boise, Cincy, and TCU all lose once
Georgia Tech loses ACC Championship game
Florida and Bama are 1 and 2 going into the SECCG, with LSU at #3. Florida wins, they don't want a rematch in the title game. Auburn beating Alabama would help this scenario out a little bit too.

I'm thinking they could. I love the people who post that undefeated Texas and Cincy would stay in front of GT, especially since in my first post I say to assume they both lose
What realistically needs to happen:
-Texas loses a game
-The SECCG isn't close
-Cincinnati loses a game
Then it comes down to Boise State, TCU, and GT

How did Georgia Tech do against Clemson this year?

GT won 30-27

I'm assuming the big 4 leave this year...meaning Dwyer, Thomas, Morgan, and Burnett. Burnett being the only one I see as a possibility of coming back. We have a kid being redshirted Daniel Drummond that will be the future B-back. Johnson has already said he is the perfect back for this system.

We were absolutely smoking them in the first half, too, but then Spiller went off and they tied it up late. GT won on a fg

Well TCU beat them by 3 as well I believe. Either way, if TCU is still undefeated at the end of the year, and Texas loses, TCU will go. Not Georgia Tech.

If the scenario plays out, I think GT has a chance to jump those teams because they will have played in a conference championship game.

I see Burnett, Dwyer, Bebe Thomas, and Morgan all leaving. You've gotta remember that after this coming draft, the league is going to limit rookie contracts, to stop them from getting out of hand. Youre going to see quite a few early entrants this year.
