I agree with most of your post, and I could be wrong about the lack of motivation
But people are missing the big story here... it’s pretty clear that Gruden is using the raiders as a stepping stone for the Tennessee job

I think he thinks he has the motivation but he's been on the shelf for a decade making Hooters and Corona commercials and making at least half of the pay for a fifth of the hours and one-half of one percent of the stress.
He's not human if he makes it through his first back to back losses with even the home fans and media tearing him a new one without thinking "What in the hell was I thinking coming back?"
