2005 Northshore High School football team out of Slidell in Class 5A was impressive. We went 0-10 and had one running back that went on to play D-3 ball at something Mary & Joseph bible college in TX or something like that. I think he walked on though.

We had one game we almost won at Mandeville. I think we were up 20-0 (we missed an extra point) but Mandeville completed the 4th quarter comeback to win 21-20 and keep us winlesss. Me and all my friends decided to drive to Mandeville to catch the end when we heard we were winning at halftime. It was amazing to see just how good we were at losing. Best ever IMH

LOL we were terrible

is correct. The St. Augustine team of 1975 had every senior member receive a college football scholarship. This team is often called the best team ever from the city of New Orleans. Marcus Quinn was a junior on the team.

Neville. I think a few of our more recent teams could get an honorable mention but that Ruston team probably goes down as the best ever.

Winnfield team(82') that crushed us(EDW and we were undefeated and had beat them the year before 7-6 to reach the Championship to lose to Curtis 21-17) 50-6 in the Semi's at home and then went on and crushed Curtis in the State Championship. They had some crazy number like 10 or 12 players that went on and played D1.

Newman isn't really a football factory. They had the Mannings and OBJ, but other than that they don't really pump out the football players.

They were closer to winning State in baseball when Peyton was there and did win in Basketball in '93 iirc.

No it isnt. Look congrats to any team that wins state. But that Rummel team doesnt even scratch the surface as greatest LA football team. Not even close. Their avg score of games was 37-10........ There are teams that were close to 50-0 for avg scores

Alot. Look Rummel should be very proud of what they accomplished. But calling them one of the best teams ever is ludicrous.

West monroe, evangel, and ruston have had multiple teams that would shite on Rummel 2013.

89 squad at Ruston was salty, but Brother Martin beat them 59-56 at Ruston. Ruston was 13-0 and had won 15 straight at home and had outscored their opponents 441-70. that was probably the greatest football game I had seen. I was there at Ruston. Brother Martin lost to Ruston in 88 7-6 on a missed PAT in OT at Tad Gormley.

We then proceeded to get our asses beat by Ouachita.

West monroe 1998 beat teams 45-5. I cant find any results for the Evangel teams, nor the Ruston teams. Rummel in 2013 had a great season. But many would argue they werent event the best 5a team that year...

still the most painful football loss I've ever witnessed in person.

Ruston won state in 82,86,88 and most notably 1990

one helluva run by Coach Childress

Ruston beat Catholic in 90 in the dome by 42

beat El Dorado that same year by 60

I was talking about the 2012 team when Damion Williams was QB'ing and they destroyed Barbe, the team that came back to beat WM, in the state championship...

Not Fourcade's sophomore year when they won state after the split...

23-22 is destroyed?

2012 was the year before the split. They beat Barbe in the finals.

49-7 1st round
21-10 2nd round
23-19 quarters
17-14 semis
35-14 finals

Compare that to 1998 and 2000 WM

Here is WM 1998

52-0 1st round
54-14 2nd round
49-6 quarters
35-0 semis
32-14 finals

WM 2000

56-0
43-7
28-0
17-0
35-7
