That would be LSU-UK 1994. Up by 31 at halftime

Schuyer needs to start getting the heat Cal has gotten for years by winning less with more.

Look at the clock at the inbound. They didn't even need to cross half court
They were trying to play keep away bc they had 1-1 FTs. If they were in double bonus I doubt they’d have tried to run the clock out by passing it.

Exactly. He just squandered Flagg/Knueppel and Boozer Bros.

He literally got to the FF last year.
Cal won one ring in like 16 years.
If Scheyer is at Duke for 16 years and only wins one then we can have that conversation

i thought it was 10.2 on the clock at the time?
It was 10.0 in the arena.

then, yeah, if it was 10 flat, you are correct, they wouldn't have to cross half court...
not sure where i got the 10.2 from, but for some reason i remembered that number.... i stand corrected

I dont know about that. The stat they posted right before was NCAA tournament teams were 134-0 when leading by 15+ at half.
That's a monumental choke

I love rewatching this on a loop to see that after he threw the interception that Cayden Boozer immediately retreats from manning up on defense and falls into some zone and that #3 Isaiah Evans was "Too AAU Cool" to raise his hands even above his waste to even try to throw the shooter off from a wide open look.
Those kids deserved to lose.
Those kids deserved to lose.

You mention Final Four but then oscillate right to mentioning Cal only having one NC. Cal has taken 3 schools to Final Fours (and had 4 at Kentucky).
Again, what’s good for the goose is good for the gander.

And lost their top target recruit to Calipari.

Bc you just said Cal got criticized for not winning enough. If he had won 3 titles instead of just one, he wouldn’t have gotten criticized at all.
If Scheyer only wins 1 title in 16 years at Duke, then like I said we can have this conversation. So far he has 1 FF and 1 EE in 4 seasons. FFs aren’t enough at either place.

Nothing hits like it. It’s incredible

Even at 10.2 you hold it for 9 seconds then just launch the ball into the rafters

There is no way this is true. They were really the first team in tournament history to blow a 15 point halftime lead?
Posted on 3/29/26 at 7:30 pm to VADawg
1 seeds were 134-0. Not any team.

As soon as UConn cut the lead to single digits it felt inevitable
