One of the craziest moments.

This also needs an "IN" added to it

Managers were great for wrestling. Basically a mouthpiece for guys who were lacking in mic skills. The beauty of the territories were that whoever Skandar Akbar was managing in Mid South would have instant heat, be it Kamala, the Missing Link, the Gret Kabuki, et al. Akbar was great at managing these foreigners, and Cornette was equally adept at talking enough shite that Dennis Condrey and Bobby Eaton ( two great tacticians that lacked the mic skills) could get mega heat.

What was the name of the show that came on after George Michael sports machine on Sunday nights in the 80's? The Von Erich's and the Freebirds were popular on it.

There was a black dude with dreads whose name I can't remember.

Your probably thinking of World Class and Iceman King Parsons.

Yes. King Parsons. Jim Garvin was there too.

Classic

I also thought the Bret Hart heel turn in '97 was hilarious. The whole Canada-USA angle was pretty good but the WWE didn't have much depth on their roster at the time.

Hart was getting serious heat but then Shawn Michaels stole a lot of it at Summer Slam that year when he cost the Undertaker the title vs. Hart.

I grew up in VA and when I was young, it was all about Mid Atlantic Wrestling...which morphed into the WCW...

So many great characters..the Minnesota Wrecking Crew..Gene, Ole, Arn

Ricky Steamboat and Jay Youngblood were a great tag team..

But you did not want to mess with the Baron Von Raschke...the Claw would get you

I know Bosch used a lot of mid south wrestlers for his shows. Did he have a promotion, or did he just bring in mid south/world class wrestlers for his shows in Houston?
