I watched The Rock documentary on Netflix last night and forgot how great that era was. They showed a clip of the Rock vs Mankind Empty Arena Match. So I had to go on youtube and watch the whole match, entertainment at it's finest.

Pure comedy GOLD. You see a little of The Rock's mic skills in some WWE wrestlers now because he set the entertainment bar so high at that time. I loved The Rock in The Nation, but D-Lo was my favorite in the group

you had characters, not stupid,"suck it" bullshite. you had guys who were funny, could promo, and were entertaining.
the Managers were nailz back then. Master fuji, bobby the brain, jimmy hart, Sensational' Sherri Marrtel, Captain Lou Albano, Classy Freddie Blassie, Jim Cornette, etc all great managers who could cut promos!
