I don't think they're on the same level. As I said before, Ro seems to think there wasn't much of a difference.

quote:

Vick's scrambling plays to get out of spots are alot different than Cam's zone reads and scrambling. Cam got bottled up and couldn't escape quite a few times. Let him play before trying to say he's as good as Vick is in the NFL.

Not really. Both are freaks of nature when it comes to running. Cam is shifty. And has one thing Vick doesn't have, size. He's also a lot stronger and can run over defenders in the time comes. He can also break more tackles.

quote:

Again, practice =/= tossing the ball 35 times a game and leading the team. He's only thrown over 30 times once in his career and that was in the Oregon game. His passing isn't what won that game either

The Panthers are a heavy run team. I doubt they'll let him go out and try to be Peyton Manning or Tom Brady.

quote:

umm.. ok?

Helping the team in any way, shape, and form. He's such a team player. He also didn't freak out when he couldn't get his college number like some players would. What a great guy.

Even if he busts that would be some kind of moral victory to them, which I find hilarious they are invested that much.

If he has a bad game, I guarantee there are multiple threads on the SECR

Ok.

115 rushing yards per game is beastly. That last placed offense from last year is too. Along with the 143 yards passing per game. I'm sure Cam will be tops this year.

He never said they were a good team, but they were a run heavy offense.

Still incorrect.

428 rushing attempts...15th in the league. Middle of the pack.

484 passing attempts. That's not exactly run heavy.

I guess you missed that they have a new head coach now.

Don't just look at last year. If you have followed them at all over the past couple years, you'd know they're a heavy run team. That's pretty much a given when you have DeAngelo Williams and Johnathan Stewart in the backfield with a rookie QB. You'd also know how many injuries they faced last season.

Look at their stats from:

2009 - LINK

2008 - LINK

compared to the teams they faced.

Who did they hire as OC, because Ron Rivera sure isn't going to run the offense.

Guess where you missed the part he was arguing Cam would be successful running because Carolina is a run heavy offense. At least do some research before throwing shite out there. Wouldn't look so bad sometimes. As I said, Cam may turn out to be good, but, he's stepping into a crappy offense, has never had to carry a team from behind center with his arm. There are alot of ifs for him to answer. Maybe he will be successful, but at this point, he's really not a "proven" passer and shown himself capable to carry a team with his arm.

2 and 3 years ago is your basis for calling them a run heavy team?

If a guy was hired to play at 'Bama for one year, I wouldn't give two shits about him once he left. Newton doesn't give a shite about Auburn. But you guys worship him. Lame... and sad.

I've noticed that you Gump's never give a shite about players and coaches who win ya'll national championships!
