Happened in North regional 10u. Winner bracket champ plays losers bracket champ to make it to champ game to face other losers bracket champ. Losers bracket beats winners bracket champ. 3 teams have 1 loss. 1 team gets a bye to championship while other two play to see who makes it. That’s huge with pitch counts. The bye is decided by drawing out a hat.

Yep. Well, the alleged reason for those brackets is to help save on pitching. Its bull.
Plus, they use them for coach pitch and Tball. You have double elimination tournaments where they take the top two to the next level and the second place team never plays the third place team the entire tounament. Or, if you take three to move on, the third place team doesnt play the fouth place team. Its beyond stupid.
