"This is my style, like the Mexican style."

I love this guy. He's even learned English.

Yeah he started off having trouble but seemed to get more confident and spoke much better. Great fighter.

Didn't all this crap used to be PPV? Seems boxing might be dead.

I'd say if anyone would take it, it's Cotto.
He's been in some HUGE fights and is fearless. He's MUCH improved under Freddie.

With that said, GGG takes his belt.

I was blown away by Cotto's performance vs. Martinez, but I agree. GGG would take him. And TBH, I think he would make it look easy.

Golovkin isn't a household name...yet.

Well on his way.

Boxing is amazing right now. We are in another golden age of fights between 140-160lbs.

Americans mostly are about heavyweights and medicocre MMA fights.

Too bad.

I'm a huge Sergio fan too. Really is time to hang it up. 3 knee surgeries and he's lost a bit of the edge that made him great.

The Cotto fight was hard to watch. He dismantled my boy.

Cotto will vacate his belt before he fights Golovkin. No way Freddie Roach allows that to happen....and even if it did they would demand a catch weight that Golovkin would struggle to make.

Cotto-Canelo next summer, watch. Both of them want the fight and it's a PPV blockbuster.

And I put ZERO stock in Cotto's win over Sergio. Damn I think most of this board could've beat Sergio that night....his legs were absolutely shot. I can't believe he's gonna continue boxing.

I agree here.

But I disagree here. Martinez admittedly looked like a shell of his former self (sadly), but Cotto also looked like. . . well, his former self. He looked like Miguel Cotto circa 2007. That's the best he's looked in years IMO, and I honestly think Freddie had a lot to do with that.

He definitely has the aggression and the left hook again but it's hard to judge how effective he really is against two shot opponents. Delvin Rodriguez and Sergio Martinez are finished.

It's really a joke that Miguel Cotto is the lineal middleweight champion. Catch weights are ok sometimes but not for title fights.
