No not his. Fortunately he is awful off the box so it doesnt matter what his is.

Two other guys we play with have them, one of whom I consider a pretty damn good player and couldnt hit it for shite. He would hit it about one out of 4 and when he would, he would crush it, but 1 out of 4 is terrible.

I've hit the R11S and Rocketballz this year, and I really didn't like either one, and I am a Taylor Made driver/woods loyalist. I have the R9 Supertri currently, and I think it was their best driver. I have tried other drivers this year but always end up selling them and going back to the R9.

The only other driver I really like are the Titliest 910 D2/D3, but you might as well wait until later this year when the 913s come out.

I'm waiting until the Titleist 913 comes out in November...

However, I'm getting a new shaft today that will reduce my trajectory and spin rate, so hopefully that will help in the meantime.

Eta: I read that they are gonna start at 449 instead of the normal 399

Why should drivers cost as much as a decent set of irons?

Get fitted. then hit several you like. TaylorMade is my preference as they have probaly the strongest rep for Drivers adn Woods on the market, but there are several great ones on the market. Getting the right shaft for your swing is critical--moreso than the brand of driver.

The proforce?

Pretty cheap shaft for such a high head? Not that price = quality

Find one of those old school Air Hammer drivers on eBay with the holes that are drilled through the face and a port at the back end of the club.

Every time you swing you will here that low whistling sound from the club.

I have an R11 and I love it. The only others I would look at would be titleist since I play they're irons. They had demo day at Santa Maria and I hit the titleist cb's. Those baby's were baddddd. Just like my 735 cm's but felt better. I guess that's what new clubs feel like

Also, a set of titleist irons is near a G

Some brands just cost more, whether it be quality or just name

Put as much stock in the shaft as the head

This. I bought a used tour preferred X stiff shaft for my driver from the old assistant pro at my club. it was like a $600 shaft when he bought it. I have gone through three drivers wiht that shaft and it is still kicking. I've been playing it in an R9 for the past twoand a half years and Love it. I won't be changing drivers any time soon. Anyone who comes to play with me will quickly see that I drop mad bombs on the reg with that set up. Its almost not fair to the other players how far I out drive them off the tee. no homo. real talk. if only i had the wedge game to match.

I'm just having trouble wrapping my head around the disproportionate cost of clubs you hit 14 or so times per round (driver), if even , to clubs you hit more.

I can see spending a ton of money on a putter, because you use it way more per round.

Anyone hit the Cleveland Classic they just came out with? Supposed to be a lighter driver with a quality shaft... I like the look of it, and wondering about distance and forgiveness.

Frick my Titleist, it goes forever but all the wrong ways.

best money I've ever spent in my golf life. my iron play after 6 weeks with my AP2s has never been more accurate or consistent. My scoring has been far better and more consistent and I'm not even practicing during the week any. Those clubs are worth every penny

Other than a putter, name a club you hit more per round

If you say wedge, I say work on your iron game

Heard it was either a love or hate thing. I know someone that loves it and a couple that hate it.
