if between 30-70 yards I throw it at the green low with a good bit of spin as long as I'm into a green facing me.
If hitting onto a down slope, gotta throw it up in the air.

Back when I was playing all the time in college, I used to go to LSU's Pitch and Putt course at night with a PW, SW, and LW. I'd play each hole with one club, practicing different ways to hit each shot with each club. By far, one of the most beneficial ways I ever practiced.
