I doubt the hackers get out there that early

They may pair you with some old folks though

I don't mind playing with old folks. It's enjoyable...they aren't in a hurry and the stories are usually good.

this - I played with my son recently. I told him the next time he took his phone out to text ot talk i was throwing that bitch in the lake. He couldn't understand this request - I did a piss poor job of having him understand golf etiquette.

I hate slow play, but common now. God forbid people care about improving their score.

I have a tad more patience for people on the green who are concentrating. I think reading the angle from the front and the back are enough though.

Swing analysis guy gets me. The one that has to explain what he was trying to do, and why he had success or failure. For example, "I was trying to put a nice swing with a soft fade, but I got too much top hand and snap hooked it into the trees." and then the next shot-"I slowed down my backswing there and got my hips through so I could hit that baby draw. Working it with the contour of the hole...etc etc. " I don't care what adjustments you made, or what you were trying to do after every shot!

i noticed on the first few pages someone mentioned that they hate when people bring their wives/gfs out to the course.. my girlfriend never comes with me when i play with other people, but if i go out there by myself, she comes out with me and enjoys it.. she's basically my caddy..

'baby, bring me my 7 iron'

'ok'

'nahhh this is too long, bring me the 9'

'ok'

'shite, frick it, bring me the 7 iron back'

who would tell YOU what you're doing wrong?!

as far as my pet peeve, unless people are being disrespectful to the game or have terrible ettiquette, the only thing that bothers me is not being able to hit my drive straight.. EVER.. i need professional help

Kind of the opposite of that, but we have a guy in our group that has recently gotten a bit of the shanks off the tee. After every tee ball he'll turn around and ask what he did wrong there. One of my buddies finally told him "I don't know what you did wrong there, but I'm playing you for money so by all means, keep pulling that driver out and doing the exact same thing" .

I play with a father/son from time to time. Father is 40s and son is like 15. The son will get across from you addressing the ball and start moving around as you start your swing. He will also get in your vision while you are putting and do the same thing. Totally aggravating and dad will say something to him and he will stop for a few holes, then start doing it again.

i can see how that would be annoying.. had a friend of mine call me up onetime while i was golfing, he was going through some shite and wanted to 'get away'... so he volunteered to drive the cart and drink beer.. well he has never played golf before, so he spent the whole day running his mouth and getting drunk and was the most annoying person i've ever been around on the course.. and when we asked him to be quiet, he'd get all mad and say shite like 'aw man, i'm just trying to hang out with my friends, blah blah blah'

so when we finished up the front nine, we stopped by the clubhouse and went inside to use the bathroom.. he went to the bar.. we left him there

peace and quiet on the course sometimes is underrated

Slow play has been mentioned a dozen times on here already.

Personal pet peeve is people that show up in jean shorts or t shirts to play. I don't care if I'm playing a nine hole course that costs $5, I'm dressing collared shirt and dress shorts.

People that hit one good shot and then turn around and start talking shite.

People that pick up random balls on the course. Its one thing if you're in the bushes OB looking for your ball and you find one. But in rough/trees, especially near an adjacent hole, you never never pick up a ball.

People who get aggravated with the guy that's having a bad day. If you're in a group, and one guy is just not playing well, you never make him feel like shite by asking him to pick up, hurry up, etc.

When it's pretty obvious what he did...he hit a bad shot in the wrong direction...simple Those guys get me too!

Just got back from the caddyshack and need to vent.

-Dudes who bring a baseball bat to a driving range. It's not cool and the loud pinging sound doesn't help my shots.

-The same group of dudes nearly killed the range picker (he has no cage there) with a worm burner drive that hit the tractor and didn't have the common decency to yell FORE. Hit in a different direction or hold your fire.

There was a guy hitting at the range just now in long pants and tucked in shirt. Was that WEAVE?

dude is fair game IMO... what kind of fricked up driving range puts a guy in a tractor without a cage. oh yeah, jacked up Caddyshack range.

that place is quickly becoming my least favorite range.

Yeah, dude is fair game, I agree. But if you see that he lacks proper protection, hold off.

This group of guys were the only ones on the whole range hitting at him deliberately.

This was my first time going there since I normally go to LSU...I like it, the turf wasn't terrible. Way easier to hit off of it than LSU's old jacked up turf.
