Bryson's short game and putting is dreadful.

Bryson was Top-20 in putting the last two seasons on tour. Where are you pulling these stats from? Your arse?

His wedge game ain't great, but he's going to lead the field in OTT and SGP most weeks when he's healthy.

mean if we're talking about his car wreck at 45, that isn't what derailed him catching Jack.

He only needed 3 more when the wreck happened

Golf Betting and DFS is on the same trajectory fantasy football was back in the early 2000s.

You obviously watch maybe 1-2 tournaments a year so its likely you have no clue here.

I followed it up clarifying sooo frick off?

Scheffler has the talent, just not the pizzazz that commands you pay attention to his every appearance. Unfortunately, he looks and acts like a well-fed accountant at the bank.

Rory won 4 before the age of 25 and won 2 in 2014, and he now hasn't won another since that 2014 run 8 years ago. He's maintained his status as a top 10 golfer consistently but just can't get over the hump in majors. Still has the talent to do it but time isn't on his side like it once was, especially with the new crop of young talent.

I think of all the guys who had a chance to be "the next Tiger," Rory was the heir apparent. Granted, we will probably never get another Tiger again, but Rory looked poised to go on a massive run. He won those 4 majors so early and it looked as though he would make a run at double digits. He is still one of the best ball strikers the game has ever seen, and he continued Tiger's revolution of the "fit" golfer and what strength training can do for your game.

Unfortunately, it seems like the pressure to be the next great one is just too much for him. He ascended so quickly and enormous expectations were put on him and he couldn't handle it. Not to mention, his putter has always held him back. He can get hot with it but he is consistently pretty average to below average putting wise.

He has made it pretty commonplace for him to fall out of contention early in tournaments but still make the cut, then post an insane round on a Saturday or Sunday to give you that glimpse of how incredible he can be. But he just can't put it all together consistently.

I said Sunday that I think the round that he had is gonna do wonders for his mental game.

He's still only 32.

Completely agree. In think Rory, with Tigers obvious declining ability due to age and injuries, is still the most talented player, top to bottom, on Tour. Rory’s issues have always been between the ears, but his swing is basically perfect and his shot making ability is second to none

No reason rory can't win 4 more majors at his age. He has a good 15 years of competitive golf.

I think he wins 2 more at least.

Rory has been horrific at times with his wedge-8 iron at times all throughout the last few years. He will have 11”0-170 in and can’t hit the green

It feels like we have lost a polarizing figure in most sports lately, but maybe that's just age and nostalgia talking.

Golf does need a dominant figure. It's easier to love them or hate them that way. There are so many good players though, I'm not sure it's possible for a sustained window.

Right, but Rickie has 5 career wins on tour spread out over 8 years. He was consistently right there but never consistently winning

If you cannot recognize Rickie has fallen off worse than everyone else then I am not going to waste time trying to reason with you. He was no. 4 in the world before his marriage. He’s not even top 100 now.

tbf Rickie Fowler was never as good as the other three guys you mentioned.

You are correct he wasn't as good as the listed players.

However, Rickie has like 8 top 5 finishes in majors with like half of those being 2nd places. To be where he was to where he's fallen to now is pretty surprising. Especially when he always seemed so close to breaking through.

Rickie also would've been maybe the most popular player on tour since Tiger had he manage to win a few also. Him and his outfits had a crazy amount of influence with the younger golf crowd when he was in the hunt and he's always been a fan favorite.
