In order to make the 80-mile (130 km) one-way commute productive, he spent roughly $200,000 to convert a large SUV into a rolling film room. The rear seats were torn out and replaced by two forward-facing, fully reclining seats; a 40-inch (100 cm) TV screen was installed in the cabin divider; and satellite TV, Wi-Fi, and a cooler were also installed. The setup, including a driver that Rivers hired, allows him to analyze game videos during the commute

Met him a few times at his place in Florida. The most down to earth superstar type person I have ever seen

Threw the ball for a group of kids, including my son, for hours.

Dude is fricking committed to his family. The man is truly a family man playing football at the highest level with a throwing motion (albeit quick) that is ugly..

Love that the narrative in him has changed. He’s a great guy and has been my favorite player for years.

He’s also started a foundation to help bring awareness to foster and adoption. Truly a good all around dude and an incredible competitor.

I wonder if he’ll get into coaching or work in the booth when he retires. He seems like he genuinely loves the game as much as anyone. I could see him get into coaching.

How can you not love Philip Rivers? Dude looks like he truly enjoys playing and winning. No coach speak with him.

Honestly thought he was one of the biggest whiner babies in the league until I read this thread. Appreciate the insight

I saw the highlights and learned that Antonio Gates is still playing. I thought he had retired

That 4th down pass on the last drive was immaculate. When he's on nobody is better.

I’ve grown to like rivers. His throwing motion is so damn weird but it’s effective. Idk how he gets anything on his throws but somehow it gets to where he wants it.
