Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo said he's not interested in working out with fellow NBA players despite offers to do offseason training alongside the likes of LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony.

quote:

"I can't work out with you in the summer and then play you in a few months," Antetokounmpo said. "It feels weird. It doesn't feel right with me. Like other players, it's cool for other players, but I don't. I don't want to. Other guys do it."

quote:

The 24-year-old Greece native added he's not a fan of the overly friendly culture that's developed among the NBA's elite players in the modern era.

"I hate it when…" Antetokounmpo said while doing a mock pose for a picture. "I hate that. I don't want [opponents] to see me to be buddy-buddy with me."

That's easy to say at 24. Let's see how he feels ringless at 31.

I'd bet a paycheck his mock pose was the finger or two fingers pointing at the other guy, with a slight shoulder lean, and that stupid half-smirk smile that the bros like to do these days.

I love that kid

27/13/6 at the ripe old age of 24. Can’t wait for him to develop the semblance of a jumper.

There is a misconception that players in the 80s and into the 90s hated each other. They didn’t; they hated losing to each other. They had respect for each other and they wanted to prove they were the best on the court night in and night out. They didn’t give a damn about what the media and fanboys had to say. They knew the pecking order and they knew how to move up in it.

The biggest difference between this generation of players and that is very simple: This generation wants to be CALLED the best player in the game. That generation wanted to BE the best player in the game. If you don’t know the difference, then it says a lot about you.

You see that 3 he walked into last night?

Woof.

I'm not sure if he'll ever develop a 3.
