Billy never had these problems in Tuscaloosa with the REC. I've always told people Saban would have never had the success he had at Bama, if he'd stayed at LSU. The Bama fans are more committed than everyone else. Bama fans will get a journalism degree, then move to another state, so he can cover high school sports, and help recruit kids. One NELA kid I know said he was surprised to see people he knew at the 1st Bama game he attended. He was talking about a NOLA, and a Monroe sportswriter..

The people who were pushing NIL were always stupid or just don't like college sports.

Ding! Ding! Ding!

The race-baiters and do-gooders who pushed this always had the destruction of college sports - football, in particular - as their aim.

I think he’s talking more about the courts basically ordering that there be no limitations on NIL and unlimited transfers without having to sit out a year.

The Florida law at last attempted to reign the unlimited free agency nonsense in by prohibiting the schools from directly offering NIL deals and by not allowing NIL contracts to be tied to athletic performance or enrollment at a particular school.

Well that was true.. until they revised it to remove all of those restrictions.

They'll settle this out of court.

I'm interested to see if the promise for $1,000,000 is in writing

This is very true. The people who have always been most adamant about all of this almost never actually watch any college sports.
