Games like tonight is why NBA shouldn't be taken seriously.

This was an embarrassment to the game & the way it should be played from the effort the Celtics put up tonight. They are still odds on favorite to win the series, but come on man. Seems as if they "wanted" game 5. wink wink

Yeah , they layed down.
Always in the leagues best interest to have more finals games played obviously, so there is that.

They wanna win it at home....that was a dog and pony show....TV can't let this be a sweep (though I predicted one)....that was a dive.

Never bet this frickin' league.

make the season 2 months longer on the calendar. play every team in the league 3 times. whoever wins the most games wins the title

1 bad game out of 4 and it meant a lot to Dallas fans.

I’m sitting in Tarrant county right now. I can assure you this meant nothing more than a fleeting smile unless they win 3 more. that isn’t an argument for the necessity of post season tournaments for determining a champion

It wasn't rigged. Just no point in celtics going maximum effort from a strategic standpoint. They have to beat u 4 times in a row. Make them exert themselves and then dominate the again at home and celebrate with ur fans

It was a joke that’s for sure. I made a post in the game thread ab this. I know crazy stuff can happen in sports but there were probably 6-7 different times I just shook my head thinking they were trying to make sure to win it in Boston.

Coming back from half Tatum shoved someone grabbing a rebound and putting the ball back twoards the goal. I think it was his 3rd foul he picked up.

He shoved the guy hard enough to send him to ground well after the ball had already left his hands.

I’m not a Dallas fan, but this take is wrong. Most of their fans have witnessed a title (2011), and while this ride has been fun, losing in 5 or 6 isn’t some major accomplishment compared to getting swept.

I'd imagine most Dallas fans are pretty happy that their team is still in it and getting the opportunity to turn things around but maybe I'm just not good at thinking like the fan of a middle class poverty franchise.

None on the winner out right, a few dollars on player stat parlay.

My losses or gains has nothing to do with a professional league and their supposed “champion” performing they way did tonight.

eliminating guaranteed contracts would stop all of this.

performance incentives is how you get paid and watch these players show out every night.

I mean it looked like the Celtics totally abandoned their team play, on purpose.

And just lazily went Rec League.

Jacking up ISO 41 three-pointers.

Just standing around the perimeter.... Like they suddenly forgot how to play winning basketball. This is a black eye. Because the loafish, lazy effort wasn't sold well. The stink from that game must have bettors demanding their money back.

They just ole a layup line....like this was a day off.

I sat at lunch w 3 buddies yesterday and told them to bet every cent they had on Dallas.
There was ZERO chance the NBA was gonna let this end in a sweep, period.

The NBA is the least competitive league. Only league where I’m certain players aren’t giving it their all pretty much most of the time.
