Hadn’t thought about that. If they play like this against New York the narratives will shift immediately. Much bigger fanbase and media apparatus. Plus the weight of the celebrity fans.
It’s funny to watch people defend the Spurs’ dirty plays. If the roles were reversed they’d be calling for suspensions. I think deep down they know this but they like to troll and be pests. They don’t honestly believe those plays are just physical defense.

This is only happening because the roles were and have been reversed for a while now
You have Lu Dort on your team. Your entire squad is full of foul baiters on the offensive end who play rugby on the defensive end.
The Spurs are just matching your energy, finally. And yall hate it.
Welcome to Thunder ball.

Watch #11 for Spurs by top sideline. Comes in towards SGA and takes him out again. Not a basketball move 100% intentionally tying to hurt. Just like the other play
SGA literally just fell the moment he was touched. You can see Bryant slow down as he approaches SGA.

Agree to disagree.
I applaud the Spurs defense, the dirty plays are over the top though. I don’t think they’ll be allowed to do that stuff tomorrow.

Yes, the starved for championship NY sports press will feast on SA.
It truly is amazing the narratives. At most SGA exaggerates contact but he’s not a dirty player. He’s the 2 time MVP and SA tried taking him out twice. Refs did nothing.
Also Wemby put a hit out on OKC last game, more clearer footage has come out with him telling them hard foul in scrub time. The last series vs Minny and now this one has changed a lot of peoples minds about things. SA has been exposed as thugs and cheap shot artists. And whiners. And too lame to show up at mandatory presser.
NBA is showering their new golden child with kid gloves (no fine or suspension for neck hit and no fine for skipping presser) but fans will tire of Wemby quickly. You won’t find any dirty hits by SGA in all his NBA career but Wemby already has more than a handful in this playoffs alone.

In football that would be targeting. There was no basketball play, he loaded up to take him out.
I could just imagine if Dort did that to Wemby twice. I also hope OKC doesn’t stoop to the SA thugish level in game 7.
And lets not forget an earlier series game Wemby went for SGA’s legs. At some point after the series someone will compile all these thugish hits by SA. Its a lot

More “ethical” play by thug Spurs:
Watch #11 for Spurs by top sideline. Comes in towards SGA and takes him out again. Not a basketball move 100% intentionally tying to hurt. Just like the other play Then appears to grab Chets junk.
Spurs are a dirty team. I’m losing track of all their dirty plays and conduct
Also, SGA did appear at post game presser. And SGA made zero ref complaints. Spurs are the ref whiners and when they lose and don’t show up at presser.
Narratives are wrong and if SA makes finals it will come out even more with the NY press. If not then it will next year as they’ve been exposed this playoffs. Dirty team. Nasty

you really think a rookie who is 20 years old? has that high of basketball IQ to do exactly what you are saying he is intending to do?
or
the guy who has built his career lately on taking advantage of "moments" in a game where he sees "potential" to do things that will affect the game?
I thought you were an SGA fan? He's obv very high basketball IQ if he has won 2 League MVPs on what he has made very public now how he plays the game....
so yes. the rookie was legit just coming into the lane wild and free trying to get a Reb, the vet and well known flopper seen it coming and embellished in the moment that could have possibly wiped a 3PM by SA and also resulted in OKC FTs if would have been a flagrant...

20 million New Yorkers will blow up the flop fest of OKC 10x more than what we are hearing now.....
I think for our sake we are hoping we get alien wemby and the Men In Black come in to save the day.

this is the same arena that notoriously turned off the AC during a Miami Heat game to make players cramp...

Why?
Because they have been higher for most of the series besides game 5 at home
Means it should be a tighter game. I figured Thunder would be -5.5

You complain a lot about flopping which is just slight contact
I complain about actual targeting players to take them out via thug hits
Now you say hitting hard intentionally to hurt a player is ok.
I hope you understand the difference
We are not the same

again... in 2026 we really don't have that. I don't see anyone in this series that really hates each other or says shite to other ppl on the court. it's truly the softess series ever when it comes to any of that.
the media builds up this massive chet/wemby thing because they have history but Wemby doesn't give Chet anything and vice versa...so outside of Vassel last night blocking Chet then getting all up in him, it has been a very weak series.

His name is Carter Bryant. That’s absolutely disgusting and disrespectful that a basketball savant like yourself can’t even call him by name. Classless behavior.

4D chess. The great coaches always plant that seed into the subconscious of a referee. Phil, Riley, Pop…always make a comment about the way the game is called. It’s genius level stuff that Coach Mark hasn’t yet unlocked.

The narrative will be that SA has arrived and OKC should be happy with that one title they won. A franchise in Oklahoma City will soon be an afterthought in the West when Seattle and Vegas get teams. It’s only fair that the new Sonics get rewarded with a contender right out of the gate, and what free agent wouldn’t want to go to Vegas?

Wemby did call out a hit on McCain

You realize the complaint about flopping isn't because it's a slight contact right?

Again, quit being a pussy. That's not a thug hit you dork. It was literally bumping into him. Guys take these bumps every game. He's not trying to hurt him you dork but you can't take your OKC blinders off. Also saying he was grabbing Chets dick is a joke and you know it. Chet is about to fall over him and he simply put his hand up to break the fall.

Now you say hitting hard intentionally to hurt a player is ok.
He wasn't intentionally trying to hurt him. Would have went after his legs if he wanted to hurt him. Shai is a lightweight who falls without contact, so it's not suprising when actual physical play comes in he gets bowled over.
