I guess favored is a bad term for it bc the home team does get 4 games at their place, but having 3 straight games in your house is pretty terrible. You can't possibly believe 2-2-1-1-1 is better for the away team than 2-3-2.

If we tell ourselves this enough, will we actually start to believe it? Away teams in both the NBA & Hockey have a very uphill battle at the end of close series. Especially in series with equal teams, and to the tenth degree under the format 2-3-2. Having both games at home at the end of a close series is a HUGE Advantage. An advantage only some chump team would blow. No matter how you try to slice it.
