I’m willing to bet that all of the teams that lost had significantly more COVID cases or opt-outs .
Also, they put these good group of 5 teams against 6-6 power 5 teams. It’s not like those are good teams. In most cases I’d say the group of 5 teams were just better teams with less players out

If someone expected 6-6 auburn with tj Finley at quarterback to beat an 11 win top 20 Houston team then they haven’t paid much attention to cfb this season

Houston probably just has a better football team than Auburn this year, and Utah State was also ranked IIRC
The other 3 games are kind of head scratching. Power 5’s normally shouldn’t lose to service academies and UCF isn’t that good.

AAC #3 (in a year when AAC #1 makes the CFP) beats SEC #13 who also has no HC and a backup QB.

I figured Missouri was like 3-8 this season. I’m shocked they actually won enough games to be bowl eligible
The difference is that these G5 teams are actually really good football teams and these P5 teams they beat were bad this year when they had all their coaches and players. Now we have bad P5 teams playing bowl games with guys opting out, not playing because transfer portal, coaches not coaching because of being fired…throw covid in there and it’s a mess

Utah State is a better team than the Beavers. They won 11 games and should finish ranked.
Army is a better team than Mizzou. Mizzou’s defense is unbelievably bad. Army is a 9 win team.
UCF is a better team than Florida. Florida doesn’t have a coach. Not that it matters, because UCF’s dominated Gata on the LOS, which has happened all season.
Houston is a better team than Auburn. Houston will finish in the top 15
Air Force, who won ten games, is a better team than Louisville, who finished with a losing record.
This is not hard to comprehend.
