We were told it won’t stop you from getting it, just decrease the effects. It’s like a flu shot.

So are we going to be dealing with this every year until the end of time? Will it be that in 2035 a player will still have to quarantine himself if he tests positive for Covid-19?

Possibly if they don’t change their stance on things. I mean science changes daily but protocols aren’t

If Vandy is all vaccinated and they played yesterday, or whenever, exactly why can't they play today?

Again, they are all already vaccinated. It's an outdoor sport. It is not suppose to transmit outside.

Let those players play with mask on, who gives a shite. Make all of NC St. play with N95 masks.

Why can't they play the game? Again, Vandy is already vaccinated. Absolute clown world.

Last summer I dated a nurse who worked in the ER at University Hospital in New Orleans. She'd send me Snapchat videos of her sitting in a deserted building. They were never overrun and she often was sent home due to lack of patients.

The hospitals were never close to being overrun. I know this because New York where it was one of if not the hardest hit NEVER even used that ship that Trump sent for them to use. It was all BS propaganda,...no that doesn't mean I think the virus isn't real...the scare tactics were. Just look at the people that were most affected/died from Covid...old people, those with compromised immune systems and the unhealthy(fat). As for the statement in the OP that statement should've said at the bottom IN conclusion frick the NCAA

She should have volunteered to work in one of Ochsners ICUs. I promise you her perception would have been completely different.

Agreed! It’s pretty obvious by some of these comments that many people are out of touch with healthcare. In particular, how and why covid is handled a certain way.
My wife works for Ochsner and helped run the J&J study. I’m completely aware of what was going on.

This is getting ridiculous. What exactly would you expect them to do? Take some hostages and force the game to be played as a ransom?

Take them to court.

Ochsner chose to house those patients. The Covid boondoggle at the Convention Center never got close to capacity. They and Ochsner made bank though.

Not getting into people's stances on vaccines or political views, but the biggest issue to me is why have them play a game when they knew about the positive tests only to change course later. It's like the NCAA didn't consider this could happen and didn't have a plan.

Yeah we are also learning that vaccination doesn’t prevent a positive COVID test.

You can still have the virus after getting the vaccine. Supposedly, you can’t spread it though. Also, your immune system “should” have the weapons to fight it if you get it.

You said “has” where you should have said “chooses”. Hospitals choosing to turn away cancer patients from their needed treatments because they were worried about a virus with a 99+% survival rate was 100% a choice they made, and an incredibly stupid one at that.

And you don’t believe the hospitals were never overrun at any point?
They weren’t.

New York wasn’t even overrun, and they had it worse than anyone.

And, no, the point isn’t to prevent overruns.

It reduces symptoms and chance of transmission.

That isn’t overrun. That is making concessions for the situation.

Overrun is people dying in the hallways.

NO built an entire new hospital and didn’t even need to use it beyond a few.

NYC was given a Navy hospital ship and still didn’t need it.

There were places that were close, but no hospitals were overrun.

Are there not 9 healthy guys left on the team? Or maybe 9 healthy guys with eligibility in the whole school? What am I missing here? Because a few guys test positive they throw away their whole season is insane.
