How does a HS kicker (SCC in the state champ game) have more ice in his veins than these college kickers so far in the CFP?

Listening to the Aggie radio broadcast and they keep harping how bad the wind is
Their sideline guy said on the last miss, the wind had been strongly blowing/gusting left to right during the kick prep but that as soon as the ball was snapped the wind completely died.
