Good to fire him now and go all in on Chesney or Stein before other teams fire their coaches

you mean, they won a conference championship game and finished undefeated?
Oversimplification is hardly a valid form of argument when everyone knows the context.

Or two years too late. What the frick were we waiting on? Maybe the Spanx woman made a donation for his buyout but he's been fricking the program up for years. 2023 was a mirage and as soon as Jordan Travis went down so did he

No. They gave him a huge buyout on his first when there was zero market for him.

You provided a quote about his buyout during his first season being 12 million as if that was a lot

O was the 10th highest paid coach in the SEC when he was hired. His buyout terms weren’t crazy at all relative to the industry standards.

no way FSU pays a huge price to get stein, etc

they are paying 4 coaches now to not coach. they will have to work a sweet heart deal with jimbo at a lower price

At least they don't owe him a large lump sum within 30 days of getting fired like a lot of coaches. It'll be roughly $800k a month through 2031.

$51 million is a lot of money but creating a culture of apathy for the next two seasons will cost way more money. I guess they finally decided it was worth it

It’s still funny to me that they reached out to Kiffin last year in October to see if he was interested and he didn’t even agree to talk to them

Stein before other teams fire their coaches
Stein isn’t going to that shite show after just one year at the school he grew up cheering for. Especially with how uncertain the future of the ACC is and both the SEC and Big 10 saying they’re not interested in taking FSU.

Unless they pay someone $8 million plus with a ton of NIL guarantees, they’re going to get an up and comer head coach from the G5 or a coordinator.

The only “big name” head coach that may listen to them is Dan Lanning. The pressure on him at Oregon is through the roof right now

Can literally pay him $1 because his tamu buyout is not offsetting.

Won’t ever happen.

Oh how I wish it would happen.

That final nail TD run by Clemson probably didn't sit well.

127th in total defense and averaged over 400 yards given up a game. He was awful.

Insanity. Quarter billion dollar debt from one department. Declare bankruptcy at this point.
