We’re getting there! There will be 2 new expansion teams this year, the Portland Fire (fitting) and the Toronto Tempo. I will pull for the Fever, but the talent in the league is extraordinary, teams like the Lynx and Aces (champs) will be hard to beat. We don’t have that much longer guys, time is flying!

Strike
I doubt they play
They aren’t even close to an agreement
Leave it to the wnba to screw themselves
The nba should pull the plug

I believe they’ll get a deal. They won’t get anything near what they are asking for, and shouldn’t…… but they’ll be playing. People want to see these great athletes!

Strike for what? More money. Hell, with the way that league hemorrhages money the players should be forced to pay to play. WNBA strike. I've heard it all.

the fact that these chicks play a 40 game season is so funny to me, especially without much media coverage they get lately

they get a lot of rest and a huge offseason

Maybe it starts in May. Maybe it starts in October. Maybe the championship is tonight. There’s no way we can really know

Will Cait hold the Fever back again or will she fake another injury which allows her team to excel and play winning ball without the turnovers?

I guess they want the NBA to subsidize them more? I mean they are at the height of their popularity now and are still bleeding money despite the flat out annual handouts from the NBA along with cross promotions and marketing and package deals for television that they absolutely would not be able to get on their own and they still are losing money.

So strike for more money that just isn't there?

I have no ill will, and those who like the product I have no ill will either, but it's really tough to justify striking. It's not like the argument for college sports years ago where some schools make all this money and the kids see none of it. There's no money to share here. As you say, strike for what?

Rumor has it there might be two, maybe even as many as three, players that wouldn't look completely and totally overmatched in the local YMCAs 40+ mens rec league. Really is the best of times.

The MNBA isn’t half way over and you started a thread about the WNBA.

They absolutely will cave and it will have nothing to do with logical business sense or ethical decision making.

It will 100% be due to radical, far-left, Woke politics.

Steal from others success to pay themselves underserved and unearned money.
