Why would you hate both teams? You've not been competitive in the playoffs with either in 30 years?

So....Islanders are in, and Ottawa controls their own destiny.

Will the Islanders play hard and beat the Pens?

I think Fatty is right though, Boston is dirty enough to mess up the Rangers while Ottawa just isn't...but Ottawa does have what it takes to make for a long series...

So an OT loss vs the Leafs Saturday clinches us the division...correct?

correct. Doesn't matter what tampa does because we are 2 points up now as it stands.

Of course it's all for nothing if we do not get mad max back for playoffs. Then we are royally screwed.

disappointing end to the season for the Preds. I have no doubt we're a one and done now.

Amen. The media love for them up until last night was sickening.

Franson / Santorelli trade is killing them. Call up Fiala, stop playing Cullen / Smith, play volchenkov and they would bounce back.

Forget home ice for the Isels, they just wanna play the Caps who, last time I checked, are not the Rangers. The Rangers are the one team you want to avoid in the first round, so the Isles should be going all out to avoid that matchup.

I think, with the Bruins losing two straight, the Pens and Isles would have to utterly collapse to miss the playoffs. This game is now about positioning, not making the field.

Yeah you want to face them in the finals, as was proven last year. Worried about this year's Rangers team for a couple of reasons:
1) Henrik hasn't played like his old self since he got back from injury.
2) The team hasn't really changed that much. Yeah, they lost Richards, but the team doesn't miss him much. Nash is in much better shape this year, but we also lost Anton Stralman; the defense isn't as good as it was last year. Downgrade on D.

I think the Islanders, Bolts, and possibly the Caps will represent the East in the finals. The goalies have been money against the top notch teams and they all have some scary offensive talent.

What is the basis for this?

Rangers have no thugs on their team this year. I get you're still hurt about the kreider crashing the net incident. He goes hard and skates reckless, but come on, it was not intentional.

The games the Rangers won the President's trophy the Devils were scrapping and chipping all game and the Rangers did not take the hook.

I wouldn't be so sure, you're playing the Blackhawks and we aren't playing our best hockey right now either. Could be a cripple fight, especially if we still don't have PK
