Standout veteran RB Frank Gore is signing a 1-year deal with the Jets, @RosenhausSports tells ESPN. Gore will be reunited with his former coach Adam Gase, with whom he spent the 2018 season.

So he’s going to be a HF’er, but does he deserve it? In his prime, was he a top 5 RB?

Is durability a hall of fame trait? Because he is the most durable running back in modernity, right?

I wonder how much more acclaims he would get had the 49ers won that Super Bowl, getting him a ring.

He made the 2010s all decade team (4 RBs on the team)

5 Pro Bowls

The most important thing:
He has less than 800 yards hitting 20k from scrimmage. Rice Smith and Peyton are the only 3 in that club.

Every player with over 16k yards from scrimmage is in the hall of fame except Gore and the other two actives who are definitely getting in. Adrian Peterson and Larry Fitzgerald.

At this point I don’t doubt that he will last another 4-5 seasons and end up breaking the Emmit record and playing on the same team as Frank Gore Jr (freshman at Southern Miss)

No need to qualify that as opinion, that’s a bonafide fact

Absolutely he deserves it. One of the most prolific RBs of all time. And his longevity for the position is incredibly rare. Gore (37 in under 2 weeks) is the oldest active RB I can think of in recent memory. Thought maybe Adrian Peterson, but he’s nearly 2 years younger than Gore.

He’s had nine thousand yard rushing seasons and twelve thousand yards from scrimmage seasons.

His prime was 3x longer than the average career of all RBs. You don’t just wind up third in rushing yards without being an absolute stud

With all the mileage he has logged, his 50s and 60s are going to suck. Hope he doesn't plan on walking around and shite.

It is amazing that he has been the most durable back in the pros, considering he tore his ACL twice at Miami. He originally beat Willis McGahee out to be the replacement for Clinton Portis before blowing his ACL.

He was drafted the same year as Matt Jones
