Yeahhh... you're overvaluing the tangible statistical aspects of basketball.

I'll take Deron's leadership, poise, and clutch factor over CP3's habits of being a soft flopper any day of the week.

not really. stats are the best way to measure a player's performance. when you get away from statistical analysis you're left with empty, meaningless bullshite statements that are easily contradicted such as this one:

I'll take Deron's leadership, poise, and clutch factor over CP3's habits of being a soft flopper any day of the week.

Paul is, statistically, more "clutch" than DW.

Be your own informed judge...

CP's career against jazz:

05-06 (4 games)
Averaged 15.75 pts/ 7.25 assists (Season averaged 16.1/7.8)
Record 1-3

06-07 (2 games with CP playing)
Averaged 13 pts/ 12 assists (Season averaged 17.3/8.9)
Record 0-2

07-08 (4 games)
Averaged 12.25 pts/9.25 assists (Season averaged 21.1/11.6)
Record 1-3 (He had a very nice game in the win at home and very poor games in others)

08-09 (2 games)
Averaging 25 pts/ 7 assists (Season averaging 21.4/11.1)
Record 0-2

Deron's career against NO:

05-06 (4 games)
Averaged 17 pts/ 3 assists (Season averaged 10.8/4.5)
Record 3-1

06-07 (2 games with CP and Deron playing)
Averaged 19 pts/ 9 assists (Season averaged 16.2/9.3)
Record 2-0

07-08 (4 games)
Averaged 16.75 pts/11 assists (Season averaged 18.8/10.5)
Record 3-1

08-09 (2 games)
Averaging 14 pts/ 11.5 assists (Season averaging 19.0/10.6)
Record 2-0

I did this earlier for anyone interested.

The Jazz HAVE outplayed the Hornets last year and this season, but their first two seasons, DW had a much better supporting cast. Still does have the better teammates, though not as much so as before.

i know man, i don't know where the writer or the poster in this thread are getting that from.
son, refer to me by my damn name, and i'm getting it from the fact that being an ex jock myself, I watch a lot if BBall still and have watched both of them since they have come into the league, I can't speak for the writer because he looks like an idiot that wanted to be a jock at one time, like they all do, but I know forms and I am telling you Williams has the better form when it comes to jumpshooting, release, and everything.

CP3 has improved a lot this year, but his shot is still kinda like a set shot and he has to do it in rhythm meaning dribble and in one motion go up, he's not the type like Williams who can jumpshoot off of catching a pass or post up and shhot over another guard, though he has been more off this year he stiil is a dangerous shooter from outside.

Not saying it necessarily does but you got to give credit to the Deron fan club when this point is brought up. Not much the CP critics can say about that.

oh i know that he has killed CP head-to-head, but i think that has more to do with the Hornets matching up terrible with the Jazz. and i know chris doesnt match up well with Deron b/c of the obvious height and weight advantage. I just still dont see how people think Deron is better then CP. AND dont see how he, the writer, can see into the future and say DWill will have a better career than CP... whatever, dumbass writers

No way...he won an NBA championship at 19..plus he has a way better mid-range jumper and is a better penetrator than either of them. Kiss the rings bitch....

Put CP on Duncans team for all 4 years of CP's career and CP has 4 rings.

With CP3, Manu, and Duncan the Spurs would have beaten the Lakers last year for sure.
