I can't imagine having a sudden spin out of nowhere at 200mph. That has to be terrifying

At least Max took his hands off the wheel when he hit.

No, it would be Perez. Safety car laps counts. The last lap was under safety car.

They absolutely said that’s what would happen if they stopped the race and didn’t restart. Whoever’s was first in the last fully completed lap would win.

They would have completed a lap under yellow, no?

Teams take Perelli guidance on how long each tire should last, in this instance they were told, what, over 40 laps? Both Stoll & Max had failures in the low 30s. This is on Perelli.

If they restart this race with 2 laps remaining in New tires for everyone and LH will win.

I can’t get over just how lucky Hamilton has been so far this year. It’s really starting to piss me off.

Red flagging and restarting with 2 laps (where Hamilton will have a new front wing and new tires) isn't luck. That's design.

They also have a million computers and sensors on the car giving readings

And the drivers have a feel for the tires

If it doesn’t feel right you change it

The F1 communications is way above NASCAR’s. That was an interesting conversation by the FIA

And Red Bull said they had ZERO indication that anything was wrong with that tire prior to failure

Sure was. We also heard from Red Bull that there was Zero warning for the tire to give up like that.

Red Bull said they didn’t have any warning the tire was going to go.
