Dunno why the hell they threw that green snot on the Ferrari.... Would have looked good without it, now its pretty ugly.

Not any longer.
Phillip Morris is the last tobacco holdout in motorsport. The rest were all grandfathered in and used subliminal messaging post-1995 or so, but once you are out, you are out for good.

British American Tobacco is on McLaren since 2019. Not sure how they managed to get back in. Maybe they're using subliminal advertising with the circular logo being similar to the Lucky Strike logo. More than likely though it's just them getting people to google "a better tomorrow" and then getting an increase in traffic for their brands.

I'm pretty sure it's just a Ferrari thing. I did read once that Philip Morris even dictated that the color of Ferrari be Marlboro red rather than Ferrari red. Not sure if that's true though.
Tobacco advertising has been banned in some countries for quite a while. Autosport has a cool video of all the creative ways teams would cover up tobacco logos or use subliminal advertising back in the day.

You'll also notice any alcohol advertising disappears in some countries.
Even Mission Winnow and A Better Tomorrow will be removed in some Euro races, maybe Australia as well.

Testing underway, been watching on the F1 app....
Yes, its just testing, but Ricciardo and the McClarren have been tearing it up. Looks like he’s comfy in the car and not many adjustments needed to this point.
The Mercs have both had problems this morning.

I always try not to read too much into testing or practice but here I am, doing just that. Hopefully Mercedes struggles can lead to a competitive season. Excited to see that McLaren didn’t seem to miss a step in their transition to the Merc power unit. 2 weeks out
