Everything RoGro did was forgiven when he hit that guardrail.

Mclaren looks good...

Going to be interesting to see how shitty Mazespin does this weekend. I don’t see how he isn’t out within the first 2-3 laps.

I think the only way he finishes at Monaco is if he takes it slow and steady

Is there any safe space to spin at Monaco?

Hopefully he doesn't take some else out of the race.

There’s no spin and recover at Monaco, he gets it loose, there is nothing but wall. I don’t see how he finishes the race. Honestly, as much as I like Haas and appreciate their strategy, they shouldn’t be on this road circuit with that shite car. Pretty much they’ll just be in the way.

Oh lets not get carried away.

Mayhem is the only way someone not named lewis hamilton wins the race.

If Red Bull puts Max on pole and Checo puts it in 4th or better, then I think they have a chance. It’ll be hard to pass and whomever has the pole will win if they aren’t strategy compromised.

He’s been incredibly slow, qualifying in the 103-104% of the pole sitter so far this season. I could legit see him not making the 107% rule and not being allowed to run this week.

Or if he makes the race, he will guaranteed be a moving roadblock. That’ll be fun to see him ignoring al the blue flags while the rest of the field is stacked up behind him - F1 make just straight up park him after a few laps to avoid that issue.

HAAS better bring a shitload of spare parts this weekend

People can shite on Haas for straight up saying they dgaf about this season, but bringing in Mazipan was actually a pretty clever ruse. You get his daddy to find the entire operation for a year, get to put all your focus on developing the next car and finding sponsors that want to align with the Schumacher name going forward, and get to come into next season with a fresh start all while spending someone else’s money in the mean time. (Then dump Maz next season)

They would look like Rock Stars instead of a bunch of wankers

Haas would have to grow a huge pair of balls to get rid if Mazepin. Have to think there is more chance Haas sells to Mazepin and he has a longterm ride.

They were in the running to buy Force India before whatever went down there.

Is this where we pretend Grosjean didn’t wreck stupidly all the time to the point it was a running joke?

There were two or three years where he drove well, so people still see his potential. You can't make a slow driver into a fast driver, but there's at least some hope for a fast driver to learn to drive well and consistently over a season. Some guys like Maldonado were hopeless, but I can see why Grosjean still had fans despite the rough last few years.

There is also the chance that Grosjean takes to IndyCar the way Alex Zanardi did. When Zanardi was in his first stint in F1, Niki Lauda said he was fast but had a hard time getting to the limit without going over the limit, so he crashed a lot. When Zanardi got to IndyCar, he found the car perfectly suited his aggressive driving style and he became the most exciting driver to watch on the grid. So far, Grosjean has driven well, so I expect him to have more good races this year. He may end up regretting not doing the oval races this year.

Exactly. We need Mazepin to stay in this race just long enough to cause chaos if we have Hamilton on pole.

Unless I’m mistaken, but I’ve looked and searched but can’t find anything concrete mentioning Mazepin’s daddy has actually bought any % of the team. Just a sponsorship deal to get little Nicky a seat in a car.
I wouldn’t put it past Haas to pull a move like this though. Gene spent 2 years in jail as recent as 2007, he’s not a saint and pretty cutthroat when it comes to money.

Whoever wins pole is the favorite. Ricciardo had pole in 2016 and 2018 and won in 2018. Hamilton won from pole in 2019. Red Bull is strong at Monaco, I wouldn't count them out yet. OTOH, Max has never finished higher than P4 at Monaco while Lewis has won two of the last four races. You can always hope for rain (which derailed Ricciardo's race in 2016).

Everyone expects RBR to have the advantage at Monaco this year.

Rain wasn't the biggest problem for Danny in 2016, RBR handling of that pitstop was. Horrible to watch.

That was so painful to watch. Ric was the class of the field that day and would’ve cruised to an easy victory until the botched pitstop. Weren’t there conspiracies RB did it on purpose? (Since they wanted Verstappin to be their main man, but Ricardo was still performing very well in their car?)

Crap, I had forgotten about that until you mentioned it. I didn't watch the race live, and I think I found out the results before watching the recording, so I already knew something went wrong and didn't feel those torturous moments in real-time, if you know what I mean.

Want to see Danny without a smile. That was the day.

Maybe the year before or after was Merc doing something similar to Hamilton with the pit under caution.

I can only imagine how bad those events have to hurt as a team, but the driver has to get on the podium and see someone else celebrate their victory.

You will never convince me that RIC wasn't fricked with in some way his last year at RBR. Whether it was intentional or just a result of the plan the team had for the car. It seems Danny doesn't have an issue with Max at all, but he does with Marko and Horner.
