VW and Porsche always flirt with the sport to sit in those meetings. Nothing ever comes of it. Wish VW would come back in, but don't see it happening for a while.

Youre right, they have, but they're already halfway in with the Williams takeover

F1 wants new blood badly, I have to think that they recognize they're slowly killing their own sport

A simplified p/u would be a great start to get more teams in quick

Eta: the VW/RBR F1 partnership has been talked about for a few years now.. VW is already in FE with two manufacturers, and RBR and VW have a great working relationship in other racing series... looks like 2025/2026 is going to be their make or break time frame as a fully invested manufacturer

As long as they don't go spec engine and kill the sport.

VW only has Porsche left in FE. Audi is out, along with Merc and BMW. Unfortunately it looks like FE is going to struggle hard. Maybe Mclaren revives the series some.

They need more power unit development before they can become viable. These parking lot races just don't appeal.

Electric car racing will never be interesting.

The variable performance and reliability of combustion engines is essential to racing. It makes races less predictable, and thus more exciting.

I would just shorten the free practice sessions so there is more variability in the results, keep the rest like it is.

I think it's an excellent solution

Race day boys

Does Hamilton make up 3 places?
Can Danny Ric and Lando both podium?
Does Checo underperform again and screw RB when they have a huge advantage to gain constructors points?

I could be wrong but hasn’t it been rumored for years that Porsche/VW developed a F1 spec engine and then decided to shelf the project?

Lando held him back fairly well yesterday but I don’t think he can hold him for the entire race. Max takes the win but Lewis is on podium.

Can Danny Ric and Lando both podium?
Nah. That’s too good of a story.

I think he moves up a position or 2, finishing outside top 5 - so an underperformance unless he gets motivated by this Vin Diesel sighting.

Podium prediction:
VER
HAM
NOR

They did. I think Ford did as well.

Think HAM can get Lando at the first corner, then RIC will be a battle. Max will be long gone at that point.

Just saw Hamilton on Hard. Makes taking anyone difficult. Max might end up a pit stop ahead by the first stop

If this RIC - VER - NOR podium keeps until the end, I’ll be very happy.

I mean, he did. It is a racing incident though. Especially on the opening lap.

Just like Imola
