Pretty sure the TBC date has been confirmed to be Portimao.

Hope that's true. Love that track.

Hopefully Sergio can put pressure on Merc by being within a pit stop time. With his ability to go long with his tires on the first stint should slow down Merc and allow Max to catch up then pressure

I loved seeing all the traditional tracks last season.

Anyone know when the Netflix series of the past season starts?

I see Sergio as a huge upgrade from Albon.

Same here. For me, F1 is as much about the tracks as it is the cars and the racing. It was great having Imola and Algarve back in the rotation last year so I hope that continues. I could do without boring tracks like Yas Marina, TBH. Give me tracks with some soul and character.

Imola may be 'traditional,' but it has never been anything than a bad F1 track for nearly 40 years now.

It's pretty enough, and some people connect nostalgia to it. It should be replaced soon.

I remember you expressing that opinion last year as well. It doesn't produce the best racing, I'll grant you that. But if you can't admire the fastest cars in the world turning laps on a beautiful and challenging circuit like that then you're missing out on a lot of the artistry of F1. Feel free to throw that statement back in my face when we get to Monaco.

Yeah sure it's pretty.

It's too narrow and offers approximately zero challenging, high-speed corners.

At least Monaco has Tabac

Sure seemed like a high speed corner where Senna died.

1994 was, checks watch, approximately 27 years ago.

Tamburello hasn't been a fast corner since.

Your ranking is close to mine. I'd switch TR and Alpine just because I think Alpine is the better car and TS has a rookie Tsunoda. Hopefully Russell can bring some points home to Williams. I'm excited to see Mclaren this year. I have high hopes for them. I'm curious about Checo in that RB machine. I guess we'll finally get to see if it's the car or driver or both.

It was then but it isn't anymore.

However, Piratella is very challenging (at least for me). The car wants to understeer as the track falls away down into the Acque Minerale. Also it's easy to go wide in the second part of the Villenueve chicane as it's tighter than the first part.

I'll grant that it's narrow but I think all tracks are too narrow for the cars as they exist these days.

That corner is terrifying. It's the best thing Monaco has going for it. Monaco is a lot more fun to drive than to watch a race at. The same might be true of Imola.

Predictions!

1. Merc
2. RB
3. Mclaren
4. Aston Martin
5. Alpine
6. Ferrari
7. Toro Rosso
8. Alfa
9. Williams
10. Haas

I really think 2-6 could end up in any order. I feel like it would take a massive F up for Mercedes to finish second in the constructors championship.

I dont really know what to think of the Alfa Romeo team. They still have shitty Ferrari engines, but experienced drivers.

I think Haas will be a mess and dig a hole at first, and Williams will overtake them. They might pull it out towards the end though.
