At Fault =/= intentional
Hamilton was in the wrong, IMO, but that doesn't mean he punted Max on purpose. It was a high stakes game of chicken where Max had the rule advantage.
I've said my side of the argument. You've said yours. We won't agree. Let's just move on Monaco without walls.

Does the amount of racers and analyst that have come out saying it wasn't intentional and probably more of a racing incident bother you?
I don’t think anyone is really thinking ham wanted to hurt max.
But he did what he did on purpose. And the whole it’s 50/50 or max should’ve backed out is ridiculous. How about… Lewis should back out of the ridiculously dangerous move he’s making? Max was leading. Max beat him to the corner. When two aggressive guys are going at it and both don’t want to give in … the guy in front is just supposed to give way?
Lewis hasn’t even apologized. Refuses to apologize and says he doesn’t feel he should. He says he won’t be bullied on the track. Who the f bullies Lewis? It’s asinine. He’s the biggest bully out there. So the whole thing just seems totally arrogant from Merc and Lewis’s side.
I kinda feel if the roles were reversed and Lewis was the one in the hospital it would be viewed differently.

Without a doubt, Max's fans would be saying Max is just a hard racer and Merc would be crying foul.
Max is praised for never backing down and being one of the most aggressive drivers out there. It's what has put him towards the top.

Not saying he is supposed to, actually said I didn't think he should have. Just saying that when no one is willing to flinch something has to give. Do you think Max would have turned in on his line had he knew Lewis wasn't going to back out?

“I am told by Red Bull there is data to prove Lewis was significantly faster into Copse than at any other time and he would not have made the corner without running wide, and inevitably contacting Max,” wrote Brundle in his post-race column for Sky.

Max gave Lewis the room. Why would he assume Lewis is gonna drive across the turn? If Lewis slows and actually hits the apex they don’t hit. But Lewis couldn’t allow that because then max beats him out of the corner and once they are out of Copse max is gone and uncatchable. So he kept his speed missed the apex and drove him off the road.
I’m not saying Lewis wanted to hurt max or even meant to hit. But everything he did was on purpose. And just ridiculously dangerous at 160 mph. He should acknowledge that. That was a move for an 80 mph corner.
But he won’t.

RBR about to rewrite the book on post-race sour grapes.

Would it have been sour grapes if Verstappen had ended up with a Schumacher type head injury?
Posted on 7/21/21 at 11:35 am to OchoDedos
Yes, and what if they had both spun out, crashed horribly, and died? What if a tornado touched down and scooped up half the cars? What if I sat down on melted ice cream with my bare arse and then tried to lick it off? WHAT IF?
ETA: but seriously, no.

Reading other commentary there is some rule that appeals have to be announced within 24 hours and RBR (nor FIA nor Merc) have said anything about an appeal.
FIA rules are all over the place so there are loopholes everywhere. Maybe there is some way they can challenge, but it appears the conventional avenue may have expired.

Do any of yall listen to Missed Apex? Every time they have Matthew Carter on there, I'm always left very satisfied with all of the insider knowledge he drops.

I do, the ones with Joe Saward are also good content and their post-race reviews are a good listen as well.

I like Saward, but I also want to punch Saward.
His blog is in my rotation of F1 reading, but damn if he doesn't come across as an arrogant prick sometimes.

No further action on the Red Bull appeal.
Lewis called Max to have a talk. Lewis said he just reiterated respect or something of that manner. Seems like maybe be explained his celebration was not meant as disrespectful because he wasn't aware of Max's condition. Lots of fun interview back and forth today.

Judging by what the stewards wrote then by what Merc wrote it is speculated that RBR went in and accused Hamilton of crashing on purpose. Pretty serious allegation to bring in front of the stewards with no proof.

Lewis going for his 9th win and 4th in a row at Hungaroring
Will RBR stop him??
If I were Lewis I would stay the hell away from Checo... Max doesnt have an engine to spare at this point, so you gotta think he isnt going to risk too much
Actually Perez has 8 points on his superlicense... dont think he can afford it as well
