The Origins of the Silver war (2014 season) and The Silver War (2016 season) by FLoz do a really great job at capturing Hamilton v Rosberg. Definitely would recommend for anyone to watch. The same content creator made Silver vs Red and other driver docs as well that are on his YouTube

Hamilton is a SJW fighting the good fight against global warming while flying around in private jets and driving the ultimate sports cars. He is also very slightly good at driving F1 cars.

Well frick that clown and the horse he rode in on.

And Haas has new drivers, so there might be less wrecks this year.

Wouldn’t that cause more wrecks or they just more cautious?

Throw “Roman grosjean” (Haas old driver) into YouTube search and you’ll start to understand

Mercedes is some version of the Yankees or Patriots (maybe Alabama)
Ferrari is the Cowboys
Red Bull is Ohio State
Williams is the the Browns (or Nebraska as suggested)
Mclaren is Notre Dame
Alfa/Sauber is Boise State
Alpha Tauri is the Texans
Racing Point is the Mets

Ha I’ll give it a shot with only current SEC football

Merc - Bama (current dynasty)
Ferrari - Georgia (were great in 1980 and decent now)
Red Bull - LSU (Championships before bama/merc)
Williams - Vandy (might get a point this year)
Mclaren - Auburn (close but merc/bama take their best players)
Alfa - kentucky (always suck but never dead last)
Alpha Tauri- Ole Miss (new flashy name/coach)
Aston Martin - UT (hype but can they back it up?)
HAAS - Arkansas (no chance this year 0’fer)

Haas is aTm or Mizzou. Relatively new to the sport still. William's as Vandy is dead on though. Poor bastards.

I don't know who to pull for this year. Saint with Ferrari or the McClaren group. Don't know much about Norris. Cant pull for Mercedes obviously, unless it's for Bottas to pull and upset. Max is insanely talented but annoying at times. He's a hell of an iRacer too though.

Ricciardo should be fun to watch this year. Wouldn't be surprised for him to get a few podiums.

We will find out a lot about Merc tomorrow.

I'm excited to see Checo in the Red Bull. They might be able to do that split with Mercedes they wanted to do last year to put pressure on the Mercedes drivers.

I keep thinking that Checo is going to be a bust at Red Bull.

Speaking of, one of the the funniest moments in DtS is Checo offering Guenther Steiner a ride.

Agreed on Checo. I think he will struggle, and he’s gonna constantly be upset that Max is favored.

Bottas is 100% Cal Naughton Jr.

So I've gone back and researched the timeframe on the Grosjean fire. He was out of the car in less than 30 seconds. Where the hell is Netflix getting 2 minutes and 43 seconds because a) it's very deceptive and b) there's honestly no way he survives that long and certainly not without Niki Lauda level burns.

I thought that seemed like an oddly long time and not at all how I remembered it.

Netflix gonna Netflix. All I can think of is that time comes from the time of impact to the time that everyone knew he was alive. During the live broadcast you saw the crash, then they cut away because everyone was almost certain we saw someone die. Then after a couple minutes the replays came out that he was alive.

Did they actually say that specific time or was they how long they showed the video? I remember the video dragging on forever, but that was because they showed reactions over and over.

If he was in there for that amount of time, he wouldn't even make Nikka Laudas recovery. He be dead for sure. It was a nasty crash. Amazed he survived.
