That was the most dramatic thing I’ve seen in months. I was laying in bed ready to go to sleep and I watched the whole damn thing.

I’ll believe Ferrari to IndyCar (in whatever capacity that means: engine manufacturer, chassis? factory team? All the above?) when they show up in St Pete in 2022

That race had everything.

Yesterday's news but the season will be starting next month. No word on what will happen after these races.
July 5 Red Bull Ring, Austria
July 12 Red Bull Ring, Austria
July 19 Hungaroring, Hungary
August 2 Silverstone, Britain
August 9 Silverstone, Britain
August 16 Barcelona, Spain
August 30 Spa, Belgium
September 6 Monza, Italy
Today's news, Mercedes blocked the proposal for reverse grid races. Something that was being thrown around for some of these back to back races. LINK

Could have been interesting.

The reverse grid is a bit of a gimmick so I see why the blocked it. However, back to back races, if the have the same weather could be a boring viewing experience.
Wouldn’t mind having one of the weekends a single lap qualifying session, should shuffle the grid a bit more.

While I don’t blame Toto at all, protect your own, the sport has to get back to more competitiveness. Read an article showing viewership last year and every Mercedes 1 2 finish were at the bottom of the list but brazil were gasly pulled off that 2nd and Sainz was third was highly watched.
People don’t want to watch Lewis win 75% of the races anymore.
I can see why F1 would take a look again. And why Mercedes would say hell no

Yeah, fighting thru the field just to be taken out by Grosjean is reason enough to block it.

Agh Grosjean, can believe HAAS retained him.

Y’all quit hating on my boy Romain, he’s fragile.

Ha. Just remembered him hitting the wall in Baku behind a safety car. What a wanker!

I would have liked to see it just for shits and giggles to give us something a little different. Not like this season isn't going to have an asterisks anyways. Maybe it'd give my Williams boys a chance to score more than a point...who a I kidding. Williams can't score points these days.

Agree. For clarity I want to see a reverse grid race.
Just not sure how to correctly incentivize it.

Bahrain might run a near oval for their second race. I don't really like oval racing but a one off would be fun to watch.
Baku, Japan and Singapore all canceled today.

I'd be down for that layout. It'd be fast as shite and be DRS-city.
Posted on 7/1/20 at 11:07 am to BottomlandBrew
Something that could have made things interesting would have been running a reverse layout on the tracks that they are racing twice, could at least be a little something different.

24 Hours of Le Mans - don't miss it.

No track on earth is built to have it run reverse.
Would take months to reverse-engineer it.
