FIA is responding to market pressure because the top tier teams are so much better funded and as such F1 knows they are in danger of losing viewership because of boring races. It's an extremely capitalistic move to regain fans. Merc can leave anytime. Nothing is stopping them.

It's a good thing to. The way the money is distributed is far from fair. A salary cap will help a bunch imo.

The money is setup to favor the bigger teams. The rich keep getting richer no matter how well they really do.
It would be like the NFL or SEC giving more money to Dallas or Alabama because they mean more to the history of the sport. It is a bad way of handing out money.
Ferrari can leave at any time and I don't think either would suffer that much.
Middle of the pack will be really fun to watch this year. Merc just gets to invest more money and time into 2022.

Ferrari’s race program provides a halo effect for their vehicles. It’s part of their brands credibility, as a sports car manufacturer.

That's pretty much exactly what it means, actually.
Actually it doesn’t, but try again...

So is Lewis getting a penalty or not? Looks pretty straight forward to me.

Looks like he got the penalty. Lando P3! Can Bottas hold off Verstapen?

My top 10
Ver
Bottas
Hamilton
Perez
Norris
Stroll
Albon
Sainz
Leclerc
Vettel
I read yesterday where all cars with the Ferrari power until have gone backwards in their qualifying times from Austria from last year, that’s not good.
I think Latifi will either DNF or come in last by a large margin. Could he possibly be lapped by the next position in front of him?

Just got home, what’s the penalty for?

Not slowing during Q3 when Bottas caused a yellow.
Not sure if he can recover starting all the way back in P5

Still can’t take bitto (Ferrari chief) glasses they should have kept Areverbinne (no clue how to actually spell his name).
Should be fun to see Seb and Charles duke it out down there though.

I'm sure F1's "We stand together" statement isn't a hollow gesture. Surely they'll stand together with minorities and LGBT when they go to Bahrain, China and Abu Dhabi.

That should have been expected. Max had to hold off Norris until his medium tires got warmed up.

Love Ferrari P7 and P10 and not being able to do anything about it!
