i dont see why Ott getting back on is a good thing. we strived for those shows with the drinking buddies calling in and "ums" every other word to go away,
we finally get it and it lasts 5 days

If Ott is indeed going to be on 104.5 in some capacity, it certainly WON'T be in a way where he can involve his "drinking buddies". I don't think it will be allowed. We will find out once and for all how much the little Otter really knows about sports and if he truly can carry a show without MFP or fatass Rosco eating up large chunks of it.

if you give jimmy and charlie even HALF of the ridiculous marketing, cross promotion, production outlay, etc. they would destroy him ratings wise .. you would have to assume they will get marketed like he does now ... to me, moscona has a really good radio voice, but likes to hear himself more than most ... what makes people think he is better than he is is the marketing and perception that guaranty has built for the guy, coupled with the fact that they are THE LSU network ... i think this will prove to be the best thing that could have happened for jimmy ..

Exactly. Ott won't be allowed to do a show like that on 104.5.

hanagriff is the sports program director for guaranty .. trust me .. he ain't letting that happen .. it will be a totally different show and he'll be point man ..

Also, Richard's job selling wood stresses him to the max. That's one of the reasons why his demons came back. He's been wanting to get on with Clear Channel full time so all he has to worry about doing is prepping for a radio show instead of having to fill out sales reports and try to sell wood in this economy.
Where does this come from? I know he recently has surgery on an elbow which caused him pain.
I'm also wondering about the demons/pills comments about him. Are they real?- I seriously don't know.

this doesn't really make sense considering richard's been cut back from a five day a week show to a one day a week -- on sunday freaking morning -- show .. how does that alleviate his "stress" ?? that doesn't sound like he's going in the direction of full time with clear channel to me .. that sounds like "you are under contract with us, we have to pay you anyway and we already have a janitor" ...

richard is having problems with a pain pill addiction that he had to go into rehab to resolve .. hence clear channel putting him on administrative leave ..

i am sure he has some arrangement worked out with them where he brings his sponsors over and pays him a commission as the sales rep on them .. they probably will give him "x" percentage of avails to run his spots and retain "y" percentage to run their spots ...

Thanks-I did not know. That's a shame. I wish him the best and that he can overcome this. Easy to say-hard to do.

Mascona has been doing more remotes lately so it's obviously something the station is ok with.

yeah .. it is a shame that this happened to him .. i saw him at an LSU game early in the season and he looked incredibly horrible .. he looked like he might have weighed 135 pounds, was shaking and looked like he was 60 years old in the face ..

oh, a radio station of any sort is UBER cool with remotes .. they can charge a helluva lot more money for remotes than they can for just canned spots ...

Condon will be working more hours with Clear Channel than he did before his leave of absence. He had a 2 hour show 5 days a week. 10 hours.
Now he will be doing the Morning Drive from 5:30a-9a 5 days a week plus a 3 hour Sunday sports show. They have doubles his work load with the company.
Part of his addiction was pills. The other was alcohol. From what I've heard he's doing 100% better which I'm glad to hear. He's a great guy once you get to know him.
Ott won't be able to do remotes at Guaranty. If they do it will have to be with his former contracts now hooking up with Guaranty just like how Mascona brought the Plucker's contract to Guaranty from his TFH days.
Also knowing Guaranty they will promote the ever loving crap out of the show. Hanny being the point man, Ott being the color guy. It will be interesting to see how those two mesh with each other and it will really show how much Ott knows about sports with Roscoe, Coach Cador, Sewer Rat, etc. being there to help him out.

wait wait .. no one was aware of this .. he is doing morning drive on WJBO ?? that is totally different from what we are talking about if true ..

jordy and buddy are going to be on 1590AM, jimmy will be on 104.5 with hanagriff, and condon will be on sunday mornings and possibly morning drive daily on WJBO ..
