sounds like Jimmy is going to keep his by doing the Pelican TV thing. I'm sure the sponsors are thrilled their ads will be seen by about 20 people.

exactly, I don't think he did that show because he needed the money. He probably did it just because of his love of sports. It wouldn't shock me, beings how he is so connected to LSU that some high ups didn't actually encourage him to do it. To give LSU a inside positive voice on the airwaves.

That whole pelican TV experiment has survived longer than I ever expected. Won't be long before somebody pulls the plug on that debacle too.

considering only 28% of all Americans have a degree from a four-year college .. any degree is nothing to laugh at .. that being said, radio salaries for on air talent is not that great ...

It was a cash grab. Plain and simple. Easy money for the guy. All he had to do was hit up every sponsor he was already dealing with.
Everybody needs the money BTW. And his 'love of sports' was certainly not his primary motivation.

I agree with you that it is amazing that is still on channel 713 .. they can't even get their schedule straight ... digital cable reaches a small sliver of BR households and then a small handful of that sliver is going to watch a radio show ... why would someone watch a guy reading the newspaper in an empty restaurant in prairieville ??

Ott must make pretty good bank. He talks alot about his home in U club and the country club membership where he plays tennis. He can't be doing that bad.

His wife is the bread winner .. a fat chunk of his bank has been cut off for the most part .. he just recently started depending solely on radio for his income ...
