Braves and Astros fans don't have the passion. Both ballparks are quiet and tame.

I think a New Orleans team would have passionate fans, but with the market-size it will never happen.

I would, but the area won't. Too poor, too humid, etc.

1. There are not enough people in New Orleans to support a baseball team.

2. there are not enough white people with serious money in New Orleans to support a baseball team. too many medical, accountant, and legal people moved to BR environs after Katrina. it will never, ever happen. It is only by the grace of Stern that New Orleans even has a basketball team. Remember, the name Lakers comes from Minnesota, land of 10,000 lakes. They took the team to a bigger city. they kept the name Lakers, pissing me off eternally.
Fort Wayne Indiana, used to be home of Studebaker, and the Ft Wayne Pistons, now of Detroit.
Syracuse Nationals, now the Phillie franchise.
Rochester Royals, to Cincinnati, then to KC and I dont know which one they are now, out west?
Get it? small cities lose basketball franchises to bigger richer places with more TV sets. TV sets is #1. Its some kind of Jewish charity by Stern that New Orleans was allowed to keep their franchise.
LI Nets used to be the champs. Then after the merger, they took Dr J and gave him to Philadelphia and made the Nets move to NJ to please the NY Knicks. I am surprised Brooklyn got to have the Nets. I thought NY would be able to block it the way SF apparently is blocking the A's from building in the South Bay area.

I would support the team in a fervent manner.

Carry on.

The Detroit Pistons kind of make sense though
