Here is the settlement I recommend:

The NFL ends the stupid Rooney Rule

In exchange that Utheimer goes to prison for a long time for his Medicaid theft

That way, I think everybody wins.

Are there NFL team owners in Florida bitching about this? Why would the Florida AG even care? Somebody pissed off at Todd Bowles ? Seems like a waste of time designed to get the Florida AG some face time.

If Shad Khan The Glazer family or Ross in Miami ain't bitching, this is a non issue.

They can voluntarily choose to follow the rule and say so publicly to not get into any issues with players.

If Goodwill instituted it and the owners have no problem with it, I fail to see why the Florida AG would give 2 shits about something that isn't a problem and none of the people allegedly to be affected are complaining about.

Smells like a try at a shakedown.

Wait you’re telling me there’s no rule where teams have to at least invite an equal number of white players to training camp? That can’t be, that would be racist.

Without a doubt. Showboating to create an issue where none of the participants are complaining. Have not heard any coaches complain that they aren't getting jobs because the teams are interviewing more minorities.

Rooney rule is not illegal even under Ch.VII because it does not mandate affirmative results in hiring, only that owners should widen the pool when interviewing. Are we now going to have government micromanage how companies conduct process?

the NFL already said they're not going to change the Rooney rule because of Florida's attention seeking AG
