What do the fans from these states care more about, college or pros. Upvote for college downvote for pros

They're pro sports states. Pretty much most states are pro sports states

I post in a lot of threads I don't care about

I can speak only speak for myself being from Ohio. To be completely honest...I love all of it!!! For me its:
1A Ohio St Football
1B Cleveland Browns
2. Cleveland Indians
3. Cleveland Cavaliers
4. Ohio St Basketball
5. Columbus Blue Jackets
6. Columbus Crew
7. Columbus Clippers Baseball
8. Kent St Baseball
Ohio is a great sports state!!!! Columbus is probably 60-40 in favor college. Cleveland and. Cincinnati are probably 55-45 Pro Sports.

I'd say it's more localized.
Tallahassee and Gainsville for sure are college, and the rest of the state is only so so on pro sports. I'd bet in the top 5 of pro sports there are the NY Yankees.
As far as Ohio, I'd say it's only Columbus being college.

I've lived in Ohio for most of the last 15 years. Columbus might be a college sports city but Cleveland and Cincinnati are definitely pro sports cities. As a whole, the state likes pro sports more, IMO.

Does Cincy tend to support the University of Cincinnati or Ohio State. I imagine there’s some IU/UK/UL fans mixed in.

I’d say with natives, Florida is more college. More pro with everyone who moves here.

Florida's pro teams suck. They would have to be college.

In Ohio
Football = college
Basketball = college
Baseball = pro
High school sports big time regardless of the season.

Really??
Ever heard of Cincinnati?
Ever heard of Cincinnati?

It probably depends on how you frame it. If we are simply looking at which are the most popular teams in Florida it is going to be the college teams up top.

Both of those states are filled with douchebags and unlikeable sports teams.

The people that support UC really do. The Cincy people that “support” OSU basically disappear if they aren’t winning.

I graduated from UC. I always felt like most people in Cincinnati supported OSU over Cincinnati except for the die hard alumni.
But to answer OP, other than Colombus, it's pro over college. And there's a lot of die hard OSU fans throughout the state who would prioritize the Buckeyes over pro teams.
