Hollinger also has CC at #1 in the west. Hope they don’t run away with the top seed that would take some of the fun out of the reg season.

I'm a Houston believer this year. I want to be on the right side of history when that Russ trade thread gets bumped.

Yeah because you definitely knew that Curry would play only 4 games and the front office would punt on the season.

538 always has dookie arse projections.

They’re scared so they’re tanking.

Getting Durant wasn’t enough.

swag CC is like 50-9 post all star break the last three seasons. It is mind boggling to me to see the meltdown on twitter over dog days losses earlier in the season. We know these guys bring it post all star break. This is not a “regular season team”.

I didn’t bump it and the bump had nothing to do with Houston.

Also, what has Houston done lately that has y’all so pumped?

I don’t mean that as some disparaging remark.

Wow my take on here earlier turned out to be trash lol. Steph getting hurt screwed up my Warriors prediction.
CP3 has actually managed to lead the Thunder to respectability
Trailblazers and Spurs are hot garbage. Got damn this is Skip Bayless level bad.

If it’s not a regular season team and it’s not a playoff team, does that mean it doesn’t exist?

No one has even forced them to game 6 the last few years outside of the most talented roster of all time.

This is the most pumped I’ve been since 2017-18 when they nearly reached the Finals.

The reason is because if you’ve watched them as much as I have, you can just tell when they are clicking.

Since the trade, they’ve found it. Russ has figured out how to play on this team. Harden is as good as he’s ever been. Covington has given them exactly what they needed, and their depth is as good as it’s ever been.

They’ve committed to this style of play and it’s working. Their offense looks incredible and they now have the players to switch everything on defense. They are creating turnovers and forcing opponents into tough shots and taking them out of their game with their switching. They’re pesky, and it’s working.

Here are some stats for you.

Since the trade, Russell Westbrook has so much space to operate. He’s averaging 34 pts on 61% TS%. That is Harden efficiency.

And it’s not a fluke. He figured it out even before the trade. Since the new year, he’s got a TS% of nearly 58%. He’s figured out how to play on this team, and he’s gotten even better since the trade.

And here are some team stats.

Since the trade, their offensive rating is 121 and defensive rating is 108 for a net of +12.6. That is tops in the league. That’s by far the top offense and a top-10 defense. And Eric Gordon has missed some of those games. In games where Gordon played, they’re a net +14. That’s by far tops in the league.

And they are going to mesh more and get even better.

It’s all coming together, and they’re looking really, really good.

And something else I just though of. The Lakers are 9-1 in their last 10 games. Their only loss was to Houston. The Celtics also were on a 9 game win streak. Then they lost to Houston.

The Rockets beat them both by double digits.

I’m just not taking NEARLY as much as you are from these 8 games. And the way Houston is built, they’re liable to be godly in any random 8 game stretch any month or year.

I’m not arguing that they aren’t legitimate. Just that I’m not sure these 8 games are a massive indicator of anything.

It is moreso that russ is at his peak. We know harden and everyone else was gonna bring it post all star break. They are a 70 win pace team post all star break. So the winning isn’t surprising. but russ playing his best ball ever surely is.
