Dude's going full heel (again).

On the Matt Barrie Show he says the powers-that-be in college athletics were "ticked off" at FSU when Florida State publicly said they didn't want to be in the ACC months ago.

"My theory is that may have kept them out. You just don't do that... There are like-minded people on the committee who are asking, 'why should we do THEM a favor?'"

"They're not selling out the biggest brand in college football for a bunch of renegades."

Deflecting the blame? Probably. But still. Damn.

No Finebaum, it's all about the narrative you want and you will promote bama at all costs
Hopefully with the next round of layoffs the pink slip will come

So the powers that be went out and compound fractured Jordan Travis's leg against North Alabama?

But they're ok with Washington and Texas?

2 weeks prior to the injury to Jordan, Huck Ferbstreit was already saying FSU would be first out.

If thats the case FSU should not have been 4 last week.

There's a clip of Herbstreit on Gameday before Jordan's injury basically saying FSU would have a tough time getting in under certain circumstances. They weren't letting FSU in over Alabama or Georgia, Jordan Travis or not. They would've used SOS or something else.

How is putting an undefeated P5 team in the CFP "doing them a favor?"

Paul Finebaum is a fricking Bammer goober and I am shocked that people listen to him. And now he is a victim blamer.

The committee was hedging their beliefs about the championship games with prior Playoff seeding. Not unusual, to say the least. It's the only reason BAMA got caught up in the wash as an 8th seed.

No way FSU was ever getting in over an undefeated Georgia. FSU was coming out of the ACC, they had to be undefeated, just like Washington out of the Pac-12. Or else they were toast.

If Travis stays healthy I think they are in and BAMA gets in over Texas.

I find this narrative MORE damning and not less so.

Alabama needed FSU out of the way. Kind of like when the Soviets would use Bulgaria to do their dirty work during the Cold War.

Alabama and the Red Elephant Club used their cousins at North Alabama.

Finebaum is a shill and a liar and a joke.

These are all smokescreen excuses to Pontius Pilate the obvious blood on ESPN's hands and their SEC contractual entanglement.
