That QB run was a textbook example of how afraid defenses are to tackle a QB, even when the QB is scrambling like a HB. Darnold acted like he was about to slide and every defender practically threw their hands in the air to make sure they wouldn't get a penalty for touching him. I bet you start to see more "fake slides" in the future.

The offensive weapons for the Jets is truly an embarrassment. The OL isn’t much better.

And that style of body slam tackle on a QB is way more dangerous than all these "hands to the face" penalties you see called.
