Chickenshit call, yes. Punchworthy, never. Michigan coach has serious anger issues. You can't bitch slap an opposing coach on national TV. Bad ju ju. He's fired first thing tomorrow morning in my organization.

Incidents like this keep sports spicy. Juwan is really low IQ and doesn't understand that if you're in a position of authority, you can't act this way. He perceives popping off in the moment at or after a game as noble in fighting for his team.

In '94 Temple coach John Chaney violently charged at an opposing coach (John Calipari) during a presser. Threw arms, used racist language and made death threats. LINK

Why the hell do I know the name Rex Chapman? I feel like I should know it but I can’t but a face to it. Who is he?

Like Bob Knight except Knight was actually an absurdly good coach and, from what I've known and read, really REALLY high IQ

Played for Sutton at UK before they incurred sanctions in the late 80s, think he was a first round pick in 88, was in some dunk contests in the NBA. Hit a crazy shot at the end of the game in the 97 playoffs for the Suns for which he is most remembered.

Raw footage came out and audio clearly has Howard saying "don't touch me" repeatedly to the UW coach who is grabbing his arm.

That's an interesting twist to the story

trying to punch an old man.

He actually went for the younger assistant , UW oldguy coach wasnt the target on diff camera angles

Juwan went ballistic last weekend vs OSU as well and got T’d up with 35 seconds left when down 10+. He’s a freaking head case.

That might be the first time I’ve seen a head coach at a major program try and throw down

John Chaney did bust into a press conference and threaten to kill Calipari.

Chaney wasn't fired though, and I don't necessarily believe Howard should be fired either. All he has to do is admit he fricked up, and say it won't happen again. People are pretty forgiving.

However, I don't like that he made excuses postgame, saying he needed to defend himself, and that they weren't pressing Wisconsin. And now of course the media is running with that bullshite on his behalf.

If Howard is really a tough guy, he should take accountability for himself, show some contrition, and move on without pointing the finger at anyone or anything else.

They'd have a good case if Juwan tried to sue for wrongful termination. Guarantee if he does that, they settle with him for peanuts because of their leverage. Maybe even get it dismissed at best.

If the situation had been reversed, if Cal had tried to fight Chaney at a presser and said " I'll kill you" "You black son of a bitch" he would still be banned from the game. They would've made civil rights movies about it.

I just looked it up. He was fired for that. Damn I can’t believe I never heard of that. So this Michigan Coach is gone right?

I haven’t seen Michigan make any statements on it yet, but I just read on Twitter that Jemele Hill thinks he shouldn’t be fired. I wonder what she’d tweet about Woody Hayes back in the day. Just kidding, I know their skin colors, so I know how’d she react to each situation.

Oh shite lol. If that was today he’d be ripped to pieces. What were the repercussions of that?

He got fired, even though he was a legendary coach. Howard should be subject to the same outcome.

I saw, as Howard proceeded to do the postgame handshake with Wisconsin, one of their coaches or whoever grabbed him.
Wisconsin's HC grabbed 49 year old Howard (as if were his is his child). Some feel that a certain segment of the population need to be put in their place & have little problem with this guy accosting Howard.

A great opportunity for an HBCU after Juwan is fired He doesn't really need the money anyway.

In fairness, she has since said that Howard deserves to be suspended for the rest of the season and has defended Greg Gard not only for his actions, but from the people saying that he should also be suspended.
