I don't understand why people hate this style of overtime. I wish the pros would go to this.
The big complaint is that it's not how the game is played, giving each team the ball at the 25. But....penalty kicks and penalty shots. I'm pretty sure that's not how soccer and hockey is played the entire game.

Start at the 40 and college overtime would be perfect.
That makes teams have to pick up one 1st down to get into more reasonable field goal range.
