As of right now, OT rules. NFL’s OT rules are dumb too but the NCAA made CFB’s OT even worse as we saw today

NCAA needs to go back to old OT rules. Just start at the 40 instead of the 25.

It has nothing to do with bands.
Most bands finish their sets with 12-13 minutes left in halftime. They rarely change anything if they play at an NFL game, they usually just rush off the field to get out of the way of the kickers.
I want to say in the early 2000s it used to be 15 minutes unless both teams agreed to extend it to 20.
